What's the difference between a PingBell, a channel, and a screen? +
A PingBell (also called a Panel) is a single styled display unit — text, a counter, an image, weather, whatever you want on the screen. A Channel is a playlist of PingBells with per-slide order and dwell time, rotating through the same display. A Screen is the physical device — TV, tablet, projector, monitor, browser tab — that you pair to your account. Core casts one PingBell at a time per screen; Plus and Pro can cast channels that rotate through many PingBells automatically.
Do you charge per screen? +
No. Every plan includes unlimited paired screens. We charge per account, not per TV. The only requirement is that you pair each screen from the mobile app while signed into your account — that's it.
How does the 7-day free trial work? +
Pick a plan, add a card, and you're in. We don't charge during the trial. Cancel any time before day 8 and you won't be billed. Otherwise your card is charged for the plan you selected at the start of the trial.
What does a "channel" mean, and how do Plus and Pro differ? +
A channel is a rotating playlist of boards on one screen — you set the order and the dwell time per slide. Plus includes one channel: build it once and cast the same rotation to every screen you've paired. To run different content on different screens (lobby vs. pool vs. restaurant), you need Pro and its unlimited channels.
Can I design my own boards, or only use templates? +
Core is fill-in: pick a ready-made template — counter, menu, promo — and customize the text, colors and sounds. To build a board from scratch and add, move or resize any block (counter, text, image, clock, weather, marquee), you need the full board designer on Plus or Pro.
Which widgets are included on which plan? +
The Counter widget is on every paid tier — that's the original PingBell experience. Clock/Date, Weather, and the Marquee (auto-scrolling text) widgets are included on Plus and Pro. All widgets are overlays you can drop on any PingBell.
How many people can be on my team? +
Core is a single seat — just you. Plus includes a team of up to 5, and Pro is unlimited. Every teammate you add can sign in, manage boards, and receive PingBell push notifications on their phone or browser whenever an event fires.
Can I change plans later? +
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from your account settings. Upgrades are prorated immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
