What's the difference between a PingBell, a channel, and a screen? +
A PingBell (also called a Panel) is a single styled display unit — text, a counter, an image, weather, whatever you want on the screen. A Channel is a playlist of PingBells with per-slide order and dwell time, rotating through the same display. A Screen is the physical device — TV, tablet, projector, monitor, browser tab — that you pair to your account. Core casts one PingBell at a time per screen; Plus and Pro can cast channels that rotate through many PingBells automatically.
Do you charge per screen? +
No. Every plan includes unlimited paired screens. We charge per account, not per TV. The only requirement is that you pair each screen from the mobile app while signed into your account — that's it.
How does the 7-day free trial work? +
Pick a plan, add a card, and you're in. We don't charge during the trial. Cancel any time before day 8 and you won't be billed. Otherwise your card is charged for the plan you selected at the start of the trial.
What does "Channels: 1 channel · 1 playlist" on Plus actually mean? +
On Plus you can build one channel that holds an unlimited number of PingBells in a single rotating playlist. You set the order and the dwell time per slide. That one channel can be cast to every screen you've paired, but every screen shows the same channel. To run different content on different screens (e.g. lobby vs. pool vs. restaurant), you need Pro and its unlimited channels.
Which widgets are included on which plan? +
The Counter widget is on every paid tier — that's the original PingBell experience. Clock/Date, Weather, and the Marquee (auto-scrolling text) widgets are included on Plus and Pro. All widgets are overlays you can drop on any PingBell.
Who gets push notifications when a PingBell event fires? +
When a PingBell receives an event (e.g. a sale through Shopify or a webhook fires), it can push a notification to phones and to opted-in browsers. On Core, notifications are sent only to you (the account owner). On Plus, notifications can fan out to you plus 2 additional teammates. On Pro, you plus 4 additional teammates.
Can I change plans later? +
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from your account settings. Upgrades are prorated immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
