Using PingBell

Using a Canva design as a board background

Connect your Canva account from the board editor, pick a design, and it becomes the board's background — with your live counters, clock, and messages layered on top. Edit in Canva, hit Refresh, every screen follows.

Before you start

  • A PingBell account (7-day free trial)
  • A Canva account (free plans work) with at least one design in it

Import a design

  1. Open any board in the editor and, under Background, choose Background from Canva.
  2. The first time, click Connect Canva. Canva asks you to sign in and approve PingBell — one round trip, and you’re back in the editor.
  3. Browse or search your designs (thumbnails, newest first). Click one.
  4. It imports as the board background. Everything else on the board — counters, text, clock, weather, marquee — stays where it was, on top.

That’s it. Pair a screen and the design is on the wall.

Update it later

Change the design in Canva, then click Refresh next to the background in the board editor. The latest version is imported and every screen showing that board updates. Nothing to download or re-upload.

Sizes

Any size works — designs are fitted to the screen automatically. Canva’s Presentation (16:9) size, 1920×1080, maps exactly to a TV.

Disconnect

In the same Background from Canva panel, click Disconnect Canva. The connection is removed on both sides immediately. Backgrounds you’ve already imported stay on your boards.

Good to know

  • The connection is read-only. PingBell lists your designs and imports the one you pick; it never edits, moves, or deletes anything in Canva.
  • If a design was deleted in Canva, Refresh tells you so — pick another.
  • Very complex designs (hundreds of layers) can exceed the export size for a background; simplify or flatten it in Canva and try again.
