Most founders running on Stripe find out about a new subscription by refreshing the dashboard or waiting for a daily summary email. With PingBell wired into Stripe’s native webhook endpoints, you get a push on your phone — with the sound of your choice — the instant a charge lands.
The one-click alternative: install PingBell from the Stripe App Marketplace and revenue, orders, and customers counters appear in your Stripe Dashboard automatically, seeded with your all-time totals. The manual webhook flow below is for founders who want to pick exactly which events ring.
Requirements: a PingBell account and a Stripe account.
Step 1: Create a PingBell account
Sign up at my.pingbell.io — passwordless email-link login, 7-day free trial on every plan.
Step 2: Create a source
Open the Sources page, type a name in the Custom webhook panel (“Stripe charges”, “New MRR”, “Cha-ching”), and click Create webhook.
Step 3: Configure the celebration
Click the pencil on the source, set a celebration message, and pick a sound. PingBell’s library has 70+ built-in options — bells, cheers, cash registers, chimes — so different sources can ring different sounds.
Step 4: Invite your team (optional)
Open Workspace & Teams and add teammates by email. Everyone hears the bell on their own phone — no per-viewer charges.
Step 5: Open Stripe Developers
In the Stripe dashboard, go to Developers in the top navigation.
Step 6: Open Webhooks
In the Developers tab, click Webhooks.
Step 7: Add an endpoint
Click Add endpoint.
Step 8: Open the endpoint form
Stripe will prompt you for a destination URL.
Step 9: Copy your webhook URL
Back on PingBell’s Sources page, click the 🔗 copy icon on your source.
Step 10: Paste the URL into Stripe
Paste the webhook URL into the endpoint URL field.
Step 11: Pick events
Subscribe to the events that matter. Common picks:
charge.succeeded— one-time revenuecustomer.subscription.created— new MRRinvoice.paid— subscription renewalscheckout.session.completed— Stripe Checkout conversions
Step 12: Save
Save the endpoint. Stripe will start sending events to PingBell.
Step 13: You’re done
Every time the chosen event fires on Stripe, the bell rings on every screen your team has open. Drop the counter on a board, and PingBell dedupes overlapping event types per payment so nothing counts twice.
Start a free 7-day trial and the next charge your business takes will land on your phone.
