Getting your API key
Your API key authenticates Zapier, Make, Pabbly, and direct API requests against your PingBell account.
Step 1: Open the Account section
Click the icon in the top right-hand corner of the PingBell web app to open your Account section.
Step 2: Open Settings
Within the Account section, find and click Settings.
Step 3: Copy your API key
Your API key appears on the Settings page. Click the API Key button to copy it to your clipboard.
Where to use it
- Zapier: Paste into the PingBell Zap action's authentication field
- Make / Pabbly: Same idea — paste into the connection auth field
- Direct API: See the API reference for endpoint URLs that accept the API key as a query parameter
Treat it like a password
The API key has full access to your account's PingBells. Don't commit it to a public repo, share it in screenshots, or expose it client-side. If you suspect it's compromised, email [email protected] and we'll rotate it.
