Getting your API key
Your API key connects PingBell inside Zapier, Make, viaSocket, and Pabbly Connect — paste it when those platforms ask you to sign in to PingBell.
Step 1: Open Settings
In the PingBell web app, click Settings in the sidebar.
Step 2: Reveal your key
Find the API key card and click Show my API key. Your key appears in a code box with a Copy button next to it.
Where to use it
- Zapier / Make / viaSocket / Pabbly Connect: paste the key when the platform asks you to sign in to PingBell. That’s the whole authentication step.
- Sending events from your own tools doesn’t need the API key at all — every source has its own webhook URL (copy it from the Sources page) and anything that can send an HTTP request can ring it.
Treat it like a password
Anyone with this key can list and ring your counters. Don’t commit it to a public repo, share it in screenshots, or expose it client-side. If you suspect it’s compromised, email [email protected] and we’ll rotate it.
